MY PUSH

“You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children.” -Madeleine L’Engle
Is it weird if I say my passion is my driving force?
Or is it weird if I say I have no driving force yet?
Just joking… I do have a driving force and my driving force is my dream. My dream is to be a famous writer who speaks people's thoughts, feelings, and emotions through her writing.
How did I come about this dream, you may all be eager to know. Well, for as long as I could remember, I have not been a lover of books. I don't like them at all coupled with the fact that I am a slow reader again. But the first book I read spoke to me. It was as if the author knew what I was going through then and decided to write a book for me.
I could relate to the book so well that I had to read all the other books she wrote. Ever since that day, I became a book lover and then later a writer enthusiastic. I was eager to write a book of my own but just didn't have any to write about. I didn't even have a storyline.
So I decided to start with article writing. And ever since my first article "The glass slipper", I have always been writing. It is funny how some people could make contributions to it and how they had different opinions on it. True, I wasn't able to achieve my goal with the first but the second "memories", a lot of people could relate to it. Some even thank me for the article, and some said that I made them remember a lot they must have forgotten. Some said I practically spoke to them through my article.
After the first three write-ups, I made it my goal and core value to write what needs to be written no matter how difficult it may be. I either write them in the form of articles or poetry. I made it my core value to write what people can relate to, to write something encouraging and engaging. And so far, I have been able to achieve that goal.
These core values will help me achieve my goal of writing an article, a story, or a novel on what needs to be written. And someday help me achieve my goal of being a writer that writes for people.
