MYSELF

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.
-Maya Angelou

Well, here is mine;

Writing has always been a safe space for me. It has always been my comfort. In writing, I can express myself as much as I want and how I feel. In writing, I tend to live in my world.

Hi, I am Amarachi Obiajunwa, a Content, and Creative writer. I help clients to generate leads for their businesses by writing content for them on sales copy, product descriptions, product reviews, blog posts, and the like. And if you are the type interested in the creative aspect of writing, I also do that. As someone who has taken part in various creative writing competitions, I can say that I am well knowledgeable in poetry writing and storytelling both long and short stories.

I started my writing journey in 2019 when I attempted to write my first novel. Well, it turned out to be a short story and I was highly discouraged. So I decided to stop and continue reading books but then the lockdown happened and I decided to try my hands at writing again. I wanted to turn my short story into a long story(novel) and it turned out to be pretty nice. My laptop was spoiled and back to square one, I was again.

In early 2021, I was at a phase of my life where I wasn't in the mood of telling people around me what was going on with me. I just wanted to cry about it but crying wasn't enough so I thought of giving journalling a trial. And when I journal what was going on with me, I feel a lot better. I feel better when I cry and journal at the same time.

Over time, I became obsessed with journaling I can't do without writing something. So, my best friend/roommate encouraged me to write about anything apart from my feelings. She even went as far as helping me create a list. Glass slipper was one of my very first article writing. I felt good about myself and my write-up that I just couldn't keep it to myself and decided to share it with people. From there I wrote my very first poem. Well, it was more like an apology to a very good friend of mine.

I received a lot of positive feedback unlike the one I received in 2019 and I decided to learn all aspects of writing including the freelancing aspect.

For this blog, I don't know what I want to post on it yet but I will just continue doing what I have been doing. And post anything and everything worth your attention.

As a final year student of education biology, I hope to have writer and poet attached to my name everywhere. So, join me as I embark on the #SGBlogadaychallenge for the next 14 days and see how I create the magic of beautiful articles with my writing.🥰
