Something I’m Proud Of
I have been thinking of what to write for quite some time now, and it all seems like I have run out of ideas. So, "What am I proud of?" popped into my head.
For some days, I kept pondering the question and asking myself what I was proud of. What is that one thing I can beat my chest and say, I am proud to have this, or I am proud to have done this? Various things, accomplishments, step-ups, and growth keep coming to mind that make it hard for me to pick one. So, I decided to look for the common factor in all of them and guess what it was. Yup, you got it! The common factor in all of them was me. I, Amarachi(Clare) Obiajunwa, I am most proud of.
Finally, writing on this now, I can say that I am indeed Proud of myself. I am the something that I am most proud of.
I am proud of myself for growing up to be a beautiful, intelligent, and loving person. I am proud of the changes I have experienced and the numerous challenges I have faced. I am proud of the creative pieces I come up with. They are creative but beautiful and lovely at the same time.
Growth, they say, is inevitable, and I am glad to say that I have grown well and still growing beautifully. I know a lot will be wondering why I chose myself to be proud of. Firstly, I am just clay molded by the potter, but I have the right to make decisions I am proud of or disappointed about. If I haven't decided to take specific steps, I don't think I will have anything (accomplishments, material things, friends, etc.) to be proud of.
Secondly, taking a step to do something requires a lot of challenges to overcome. And if I haven't overcome those challenges, I don't think I will have anything to be proud of. So, for winning challenges, I am proud of myself.
