THE PROCESS

"Excellence is a continuous process and not an accident."

I know most of you will be wondering how it is that I come about the lovely articles and poems I always release. Well, I get inspired by reading books and watching movies sometimes from my environment. And sometimes they just come to me.

For instance, the poem I submitted for a competition "It's Okay" I got the name from a Korean movie It's Okay not to be okay before I later realize that it is part of the words in my word bank.

It's Okay is a sad poem. It's a poem about an abusive relationship that later leads to death. My friends that read the poem before it was taken down and submitted for the competition all kept wondering if I was in an abusive relationship or if I knew anyone in one. I laughed and said that I wasn't in any and I just felt like writing something different.

I told them I tried writing my usual happy poem, but It wasn’t flowing, and when I started writing about the abusive relationship, it flowed well. And they were all awed.

Apart from inspiration from having a word pop in my head, I try to listen to my mood because when I do, I write with my whole heart, and it always turns out to be a boom.

I always make research no matter how short the article or poem is going to be. Research is something I don't play with. Once I research the topic, I always have a well-detailed article.

Another thing I do is listen to music. I get inspired and motivated when I listen to music. Even when I play games, I get inspired.

It's funny how even when I am sleeping or about to go to bed and I just have a word or an idea in my head, I jump up from the bed to jot it down, and oftentimes, I end up using it to create something beautiful.

Above all, being the best version of myself starts with writing. I write and read a lot at all times.
